五月五，是端阳，门插艾草香满堂。吃粽子，蘸白糖，龙舟下水喜洋洋。那年的端午节，我过得非常开心。

端午节那天，妈妈端来了一盘热气腾腾的粽子，空气中弥漫着一股糯米和粽叶混合的香味。粽子的外面是几片粽叶，解开绳子，剥开粽叶，露出了土黄色的糯米饭。粽子里常常能看到卤蛋、腌蘑菇、肉、红豆和红枣。我最喜欢吃咸粽子里头的卤蛋和肉。咬一口粽子，真的是又黏又咸，香气四溢。有时候，我们中午就是吃粽子饭。

吃完粽子，妈妈就给我编五色绳。它有五种颜色：黑、红、橙、蓝、绿。几种颜色的绳子编成一条五颜六色的麻花绳子系在手腕上，据说五色绳是用来辟邪驱赶五毒的。因为夏天，蚊虫、蜈蚣等毒虫会出没。

编完五色绳，我们就打开电视看赛龙舟。几十艘龙舟在江上并排着，如一条条猛龙在江上奋力遨游。有一艘龙舟遥遥领先，成了群龙之首并最终夺魁。场上锣鼓声、鞭炮声、欢呼声震天……真想去现场感受浓浓的过节的竞赛的氛围。
