那天早上，我们坐着地铁来到北京天安门。天安门前面有两个华表，是用汉白玉雕刻而成。天安门前面有五座桥，桥底下就是护城河，护城河的作用就是防止外面敌人侵犯，护城河宽52米，长3800米。

天安门城墙上有三个门，是午门，午门是故宫的正门。我们又走了好久，经过了三道门三个殿。这三个殿分别是太和殿、中和殿和保和殿，这三个殿富丽堂皇、红墙黄瓦，殿的屋脊上都有龙仙人、龙、凤、天马、狮子、河马、斗牛、行什等神作文兽，他们形态各异，是仙人带领的各种辟邪的神兽。其中太和殿又叫金銮殿，这名字的由来是因为它的地上铺的是“金砖”，据说当年一块砖值二两黄金。殿前挤满人，爸爸抱着我看了看，里面的砖黑乎乎的，根本不是金的，但那砖光滑如镜。
