不仅如此，我更体会到了精神的力量。“人可以被毁灭，却不能被打败”。这句话便是《老人与海》的核心，是这本书想要揭示的精神主旨。单纯从功利角度来看，圣地亚哥并不是一个胜利者，即便他战胜了大马林鱼，一副光秃秃的骨架并不会给他的生活带来任何有价值的变化。但是在作者的笔下圣地亚哥就是一个胜利者，因为他的精神是永恒的，即便是生活的再艰难，也永远不会向命运低头，这样的精神比一切的物质都要更加的可贵。
