说到猪笼草，大家都首先会想到“瓶子”这个词语，之所以大家都会首先想到“瓶子”这个词语，是因为猪笼草看起来有一个个小瓶子。猪笼草之所以能捕昆虫，是因为这个瓶子的存在。猪笼草在捕昆虫时，散发出香飘十里的香味，把昆虫引到自己的小瓶子里面去。昆虫一旦进去了，又出不来。之所以昆虫一旦进去就出不来，是因为猪笼草的瓶口非常光滑。掉到里面的昆虫，向外爬时，极其容易一滑，再次掉入小瓶子里，被瓶底的液体淹死，然后再过一段时间昆虫就被分解了。
